The G-Class's Mansory Transformation: From Rolls-Royce Inspiration to Boundless Power
Renowned tuner Mansory has unveiled a new project called Linea D’Arabo, a special edition of the Mercedes-AMG G63 that redefines every aspect of its appearance and driving experience.
Special appearance and different body
This Mansory edition not only has a unique paint job that gives the regular G63 a fresh look, but also a number of additional visual features: sculpted fenders, a prominent air intake on the hood, and a redesigned front bumper with LED strips up front. The grille now also sports the Mansory badge. At the rear, a new bumper has been added, additional lights have been designed, a multi-spoke diffuser has been installed, a Mansory-branded spare wheel holder is visible, and the C-pillars have been modified. Other visual modifications include side skirts, a roof spoiler, and a piece above the windshield that houses the additional light.
Cabin doors and features
Mansory has used electric steps for easy entry and exit, and the most notable change is perhaps the door opening system; the rear doors are designed in a “suicide” style similar to Rolls-Royce. Inside, the cabin features a brown color scheme with a bronze theme. The seats, door panels, dashboard, center console, and steering wheel have all been redesigned and feature the Mansory logo.
Engine and performance
The Mansory version, likely known as the P820, is estimated to produce around 820 horsepower, a significant increase over the base G63's 4.0-liter biturbo V8, which makes around 577 horsepower. The upgrade will likely also push the 0-60 time to under 4.5 seconds.
Special position and rarity
This is a one-off, bespoke version of the Mansory G63, not a mass-produced design. So it's unlikely to be seen on the streets — or perhaps part of a car enthusiast's collection or as a showcase for Mansory's skills. It's also bound to come at a premium.
