Hyundai has introduced the new generation Elantra with a completely different design and up-to-date technologies; a car that, with its futuristic appearance, smart cabin, and optimized engines, wants to consolidate its position in the compact sedan market more than ever before.
New design inspired by Hyundai electric vehicles
The 2027 Elantra arrives with Hyundai's new design language and is a clear departure from the previous generation at first glance. Slim LED headlights, a full-length light bar at the front, muscular bumpers and sharp body lines give the sedan a modern and aggressive look.

In the side view, the sloping roof and fastback shape make the car look sportier, and at the rear, integrated lights with new graphics create a different visual identity for the Elantra. The dimensions of the car have been slightly larger than the previous generation, in addition to a more attractive appearance, the cabin space has also increased.
Digital cabin with next-generation entertainment system
Inside the cabin, Hyundai has put a special focus on technology. Large digital displays, a minimalist dashboard design, and the use of the new Pleos infotainment system provide a more modern experience for the driver. Support for online updates (OTA), smart assistants, a faster user interface, and extensive connectivity options are among the most important changes to the new-generation cabin. The quality of materials and the ergonomics of the seats have also been improved compared to the past.

More powerful engines and lower fuel consumption
Hyundai will continue to offer both gasoline and hybrid engines for the new generation Elantra, but both versions have been given more power and improved efficiency. The gasoline version will be powered by an upgraded 2-liter engine, while the hybrid model will be offered with a new 1.6-liter engine to deliver better performance while consuming less fuel than before.
More complete safety features
Like other new Hyundai products, the 2027 Elantra is equipped with a full suite of driver assistance systems, including: Automated Emergency Braking - Adaptive Cruise Control - Lane Keeping Assist - Blind Spot Warning - Advanced Parking Cameras and Sensors These features make the new Elantra one of the safest options in its class.
Release time
Hyundai's plan shows the new Elantra will be launched first in the South Korean market as the Avante and then move on to global markets. Global sales of the sedan are expected to begin in 2027, with some markets seeing it as a 2028 model.
