Chery has officially unveiled the second facelift of the O5 (also known as the Um-Uda 5 or Phoenix FX in the Iranian market and the Feng Xin FX in some markets). The car will be launched in the Malaysian market from 2026 and will probably enter global markets in the second half of the same year.
Appearance design and features
In this facelift, the grille with the previous design has been removed and its design has been moved towards integration with electric models. In terms of equipment, the car is also equipped with automatic LED headlights, front and rear LED fog lights, automatic wipers, and remote start capability.
Cabin and interior
Inside the cabin, the previous dual display has been replaced by a large central display, and a slim digital display can be seen on the instrument panel. The center console has also been redesigned to provide more space for passengers, and this more spacious space includes a wireless charger, two cup holders, and a number of physical buttons.
Safety, comfort and propulsion
In terms of safety, the car is equipped with six airbags, stability control, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a blind spot monitoring system. In the comfort section, features such as a sunroof, 6-way and 4-way power seats, and ambient lighting with 64 different colors are included. There is also a hybrid version of this car with the SHS-H powertrain, which includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, an electric motor, and a 1.83-kWh battery, which provides a power equivalent to 221 horsepower.
